1897 - 1961

Born at 1 Gonville Place, Cambridge on 5 November 1897, son of Henry Campion Apthorpe [q.v.], a director of a cement company, and his wife Anna Margaret née Symonds, who married at Thelveton, Norfolk on 28 January 1897. In 1911, a scholar living with his parents and siblings at Trinity House, Hills Road, Cambridge. He married at Cambridge in 1932, Edith Hilda MacIntosh and they moved to 'Sunnyside', Palgrave, Suffolk. In 1939 an estate agent & auctioneer, living at 'Sunnyside', Palgrave with his wife Edith. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1936-1961 from Palgrave, Suffolk. He died at Palgrave in 1961, aged 63 and his wife Edith, who was born on 21 July 1890, died at Ipswich in 1980.
