BULL, Constance Helen

1908 - 1995

Constance Helen Bull, sometimes Helen Constance, was born at Belgravia, London on 11 January 1908, only daughter of Henry Bull (born 20 January 1873), captain in Royal Australian Army, and his wife Constance Mary née Sopper (13 March 1873-1975), who married at St George’s Hanover Square, London in 1906, a sister to Richard Henry Bull [q.v.]. In 1911, living at Houghton Hill, Huntingdon with her parents, 38 year old Henry, born Sydney, New South Wales and 27 year old Constance, born Herne Hill, Surrey with her sibling brother, newly born Richard Henry and they retained six indoor servants. By 1924 the family had moved to Levington Hall, near Ipswich, Suffolk and as Miss Helen Bull, a member of the Ipswich Art Club 1932-1946 and exhibited from Levington Hall in 1932, water colour landscapes including ‘Broke Hall Farm’ and ‘View from Levington’, in 1933 'Sunlight, Levington' and 'Somerset' and in 1938 ‘Cortina, Italy’. In 1939, was of 'independent means', living at Levington Hall with her parents Henry and Constance, with eight indoor staff. As Constance Helen Bull, she died at Braintree, Essex on 30 November 1995, she was unmarried.
