Julia Giles

Julie Giles, was born at Bedford in 1946. She studied painting at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts 1965-1969 and taught at Centro d'Arte at Verrocchio, Italy and at Norwich School of Arts and Crafts 1965-1969. In 1967, she moved to Suffolk where she lived with, artist Graham Giles [q.v.], and their three sons. A member of the Suffolk Group she has exhibited in mixed shows at Gainsborough's House, Sudbury 1984, Wykeham Galleries, Hampshire from 1988, John Russell Gallery, Ipswich from 1997 and at Ethna Dillon Fine Art, with solo shows at John Russell Gallery in 2000, 2006 and 2008 and at Chappel Galleries, Essex 2003 and 2009. She also had shows for those relating to Richard Scott's book, 'Artists at Walberswick' and Geoffrey Nunn's 'Southwold: An Earthly Paradise'.
