Heather Hodgson

Studied at Brighton College of Art 1965 and 1979-1980; Goldsmith's College of Art 1967-1970 and Dartington College of Art 1982-1984. Heather has a Diploma in teaching and a qualified primary school teacher working for many years with young children and artist in residence for East Feast 2006-8 and Bealings Primary School and has worked with Jennifer Hall [q.v.] running adult art workshops. Heather specialises in colour and mixed media techniques which carries through to her work, being inspired by her Suffolk surroundings and her 'Sunset, Sutton Hoo' and 'Sutton Hoo-Night Flight', create a lanscape of simple outline, raw and innocent. She has exhibited widely including New Street Gallery, Plymouth; Spacex Gallery, Exeter; Brighton Museum and Art Gallery; Brighton University Gallery and Mall Galleries, London with solo shows at John Russell Gallery, Ipswich 2005 and 2007.
