KETCHER, Jean A

1955 - ?

Born in the Ealing district of London on 6 July 1955, daughter of William Joseph Ketcher (1920-1998) and his wife Victoria née Camelo (1919-1979), who married at West Ham in 1943. Jean studied at Ipswich School of Art 1971-1973 and Maidstone College of Art 1973-1976 graduating B.A.(Hons.). A painter in oil, watercolour and other media, an art teacher at Copleston High School, Ipswich and a member of Ipswich Art Club, exhibiting from 79 Main Road, Kesgrave, Ipswich in 1977, 'Corner of the Studio' and two further pictures in each of the following years. In 1980 she exhibited from 46 Sandown Way, Ipswich, two pictures 'Broken Radio' and 'Old Car Seat' and a single item in 1990 'Cottage Door'. Jean has also exhibited at Ipswich Corn Exchange, Ellingham Mill, Bungay and at Halesworth Gallery, Suffolk and was still living in Ipswich in 2012.
