TURLEY, Peter
Peter L. Turley was born in South West Essex in 1953, son of Leslie William Turley (24 February 1919-7 October 1985) and his wife Elizabeth Edith Ann née Rendell (1927-3 April 2020), who married in Essex in 1951. Peter studied at Goldsmiths College; London 1972-1973 followed by Chelsea School of Art 1974-1977. His work was included in 'Land at Riverside Studios' 1988 and in the South Bank Centre 'The British Art Show' 1990 which concentrated on an emerging generation of artists aged under 35, and was presented in galleries in Glasgow, Leeds and at the Hayward in London. He married at Havering, Essex in 1974, Sheilah McLaughlin (1949-1 December 2018) and they lived at Halesworth, Suffolk.
