Roger Wagner

Born at Lambeth, London in 1957, son of Sir Anthony Richard Wagner, Clarenceux King of Arms, and his wife Gillian née Graham, who married at Westminster in 1953. His father owned houses in Chelsea Square, London and at Aldeburgh, Suffolk where young Roger grew up. He gained a first-class honours degree in English literature from Lincoln College, Oxford which was followed as a guest student of Peter Greenham )1909-1992) at the Royal Academy Schools 1978-1981. A visionary painter, wood engraver, translator and poet who exhibited at Scholar Fine Art 2001, The Brewhouse Gallery 2002 and Presence, St Paul's Cathedral 2004 with solo shows including Anthony Mold Contemporary Art from 1985 and Ashmolean Museum, Oxford 1994. He married in London in 1998 Anne V. T. Myrddin-Evans (born 1958) and lived and worked in Oxford.
