WOODROW, Ian H

Born at Foxhall Road, Ipswich Ipswich in 1939, son of Clifford Charles Woodrow (12 July 1904-1980), a chemist, and his wife Mabel Ruby née Harrison (born 22 October 1911), who married at Ipswich in 1931 and in 1939 were living at 327 Foxhall Road, Ipswich. Ian trained at Ipswich Civic College then at Ipswich School of Art, then painting with lithography at Hornsey College of Art, graduting in 1961. A lecturer at Redland College, Bristol and Bristol Polytechnic 1967-1978 followed by senior lecturer in fine art printmaking at the Polytechnic and the University of the West of England. Painter, printmaker, draughtsman and photographer with mixed exhibitions at Ipswich Museum 1962; Midland Group, Nottingham 1978-80; British Miniature Print International Exhibition, Bristol and 2nd Irish Miniprint Exhibition, Gallagher Gallery, Dublin both 1989 and had a solo show at the Piers Feetham Gallery. He married at Ipswich in 1959, Margaret Ward and secondly at Bristol in 1976, Patricia Penn.
