HART, Hubert John Brook
Hubert John Brook Hart was born at Woodbridge, Suffolk on 22 March 1901, son of Hubert Willingham Hart, a corn & coal merchant, and his wife Isabella Balche (24 December 1873-20 December 1967). He was the grandson of John Brook Hart. In 1911, young Hubert was a 10-year-old, living at Thorofare, Woodbridge with his parents, 44-year-old Hubert and 37-year-old Isabella, who was born at Looe, Cornwall with his two sibling sisters, Margaret Nancy 7 and Frances Betty 2. A major in the army and married at Woodbridge in 1931, Edith Elizabeth Smith (30 November 1906-23 April 1999) and in 1939, Hurbert was a senior clerk at an electricity distribution company, living at 1 Conach Road, Woodbridge with his wife Edith. Listed as an associate member of the Ipswich Art Club 1934-1938 but does not seem to have exhibited. Hubert John Brook Hart died at 1 Conach Road, Woodbridge on 20 April 1985.
