MASSY-LLOYD, Annie Eliza
As Annie 'Nancy' Eliza Madoc-Jones, she was born at Glentworth, Oswestry, Shropshire in 1863, fourth daughter of Edward Madoc-Jones (1827-17 February 1904) of Glentworth, Oswestry, Shropshire and his wife Emma Sarah (1833-16 February 1909). Nancy married at Oswestry Parish Church on 27 July 1890, Brigadier Samuel Eyre Massy Lloyd (31 July 1867-1 August 1952). Her husband Samuel retired from the army in 1919 and they moved into Westwood House, Constitution Hill, Ipswich. Nancy was an honorary member of the Ipswich Art Club 1932-1933 but did not exhibit. She had three daughters, Mary Lillian Vera, (7 May 1891-1 April 1975) born at Limerick, who married Sir Thomas Dare Jackson, Bart., Nancy Violet Avril (5 April 1893-1985), born at Kensington and Isola Lucinda Eyre who was born on 21 August and died on 25 December 1898. Annie Eliza Massy Lloyd died at Westwood House on 12 July 1934, aged 69.
