PINE, Jennifer [Jenny] Anne

Jenny Pine

As Jennifer Anne Seabrook, she was born in the Bury St Edmunds, district of Suffolk in February 1957, daughter of Richard Somes Seabrook (1931-1987) and his wife Daphne R. née Worth (born 1932), who married in the Sudbury district in 1955, a family who have been farming in East Anglia since the 16th century. Throughout secondary school and during her late teens she was encouraged and inspired by two excellent teachers, Reg Carr and Gretchen Kiddy [q.v.], she married at Sudbury in 1978, Edward J. B. Pine (born 1953) and paints under the name of Jenny Worth. A fine art course at Kent Institute of Art and Design 2001-2002 re-kindled Jenny’s talent, with an emphasis on the importance of drawing, colour and observation. She works part-time as a freelance farm business administrator as National Chairman at IAgSA, Institute of Agricultural Secretaries & Adminsitrators, and is co-author of ‘Farm Office Handbook’ (2012). When she is not working on the economics of the countryside, she enjoys trying to capture the light and atmosphere of the gentle East Anglian landscape around her home at Shimpling, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk.
