LOCKWOOD, Tony
Anthony Stanley Lockwood was born at Beccles, Suffolk in 1942, son of Stanley Lockwood (18 February 1921-4 February 1988) and his wife Doreen née Larter (30 August 1919-10 September 2010), who married at Beccles in 1941. Tony, as he is known, studied at Lowestoft School of Arts and Crafts and at Leicester School of Art. He worked as a designer and illustrator for top London agencies including Yellowhammer and Saatchi & Saatchi, before becoming a professional artist. He married at Chelmsford, Essex in 1979, Patricia C Bowker and is now living and painting at Kingston-upon-Thames, London, his oil on board landscapes have a traditional quality whilst being fresh and contemporary.
