Moyra studied at Lowestoft School of Art and St Martins College of Art, London and taught at St Albans, Luton and Watford and was Senior Lecturer at Alsager College of Education, Cheshire. She opened an Art Gallery in Chester and retrained in art restoration, restoring for museums, art galleries and private customers. She developed a programme of private courses in restoration that ran for some 15 years drawing students from all over the world and has published four books and fifteen video tapes on restoration and picture framing. Throughout her working career has continued painting in oil and watercolour and retired to Southwold in 1999 and concentrated completely on painting. Moyra had her first solo exhibition at Southwold and has exhibited in solo and joint exhibitions every year from 2002, including at Aldeburgh Gallery, Aldeburgh Cinema Gallery, Peter Piers Gallery Aldeburgh and at Southwold. A member of the Southwold Art Circle her subjects include East Coast landscapes and seascapes, natural forms direct from life in watercolour, acrylic and gouache and her prints include animal and birds, plant forms and genre. She has her studio at 5 Aldergrove Close, Halesworth, Suffolk IP19 8TB.
