Finding a love for the visual language of oils, Colyer’s work, seascapes, marsh and estuaries in and around her native harbour town, Lowestoft and her recent mixed media paintings also further afield; giant scales and chromatic contrasts of Antwerp port installations; the Wash around King’s Lynn where enigmatic singular built elements, lighthouses, military installations and barns are fleetingly bathed in light heavy with cosmic drama. She is a member of the Black Dog Arts Group with whom she exhibits. Patricia donated an oil on card painting from Lowood Cottage, Broadview Road, Oulton Broad, at the Westhall Secret Postcard Auction in 2013 'Sand Dunes'.
