WEBSTER-PARSONS, Edith Snowdrop

1880 - 1948

As Edith Snowdrop Addis, she was born at Bishops Castle, Shropshire on 26 March 1880. In 1881, a 1 year old recorded as 'a lodger' at the Public House at Church Street, Bishops Castle, which was kept by 60 year old Thomas Addis, his wife 56 year old Susannah, with the rest of the Addis family. She was still there in 1891 when described as grand-daughter with a brother David 9, but no parents. In 1939 as Edith Webster-Parsons she was living at Point Farm, Mill Road, Botesdale, Suffolk with William Frederick Webster-Parson (12 June 1887-1967), a trade union agent, whom as Edith Snowdrop Addis, she married at Botesdale in 1941. A member of the Ipswich Art Club 1947-1948 and exhibited from Point Farm, The Common, Botesdale in 1947 a watercolour 'Primroses'. She died at Botesdale on 7 December 1948, aged 68.
