CAULLET, Cecile

1885 - 1969

Cecile Maud Gertrude Caullet, variously known as Cecilia Caullet was born around 1885 and was taught art by her father. She exhibited with her wildlife artist brother, Albert Caullet (8 August 1875-12 June 1950), at Portenart Gallery, Brussels from 22 March to 1 April 1938. Cecile married in Belgium in 1946, Raymond Green. As Cecile Caullet, a member of the Ipswich Art Club 1949-1953, exhibiting from 10 Belstead Road, Ipswich, two paintings in 1949 'Wallflowers' and 'Scabious', and in 1950 three paintings 'Apple Blossom', 'Tulips' and 'Flowers', which were her last. She was at Belstead Road in 1947 but had departed by 1952 when it was the home of John E. Howard. Cecile Maud Gertrude Green died at Morland Lodge, Morland Road, Croydon, Surrey on 2 February 1969, aged 83.
