PALMER, Norman Glenn

1899 - 1980

Born at Clarence House, Manor House Street, Peterborough on 15 May 1899, eldest child of Albert Edward Springthorpe Palmer (1867-1942), a law clerk, and his wife Annie Elizabeth née Glenn (1869-1936), who married at Warwick in 1895. In 1911, an 11 year old, living at 52 Lincoln Road, Peterborough with his father 44 year old Albert, and two siblings, 6 year old Marjorie Kettle and 4 year old Charles Geoffry, his mother was absent. He married at Hitchin, Hertfordshire in 1924 Agnes Kyle Sale (16 January 1902-1954) and in 1939 Norman was a bank inspector living at 37 Park Road, Ipswich with his wife Agnes. An architect and a member of the Ipswich Art Club in 1951 and exhibited from 164 Spring Road, Ipswich a watercolour 'Noriel' but had moved to Witney, Oxfordshire by 1954 where his wife died. Norman died at Witney, Oxfordshire in 1980.
