REES, Tracy

1963 - ?

As Tracy S. Sheldrick, she was born at Ipswich in 1963, daughter of Brian H. Sheldrick and his wife Doreen Eleanor née Howlett, who married in Blyth district of Suffolk in 1957. Tracy studied 'A' level Art at Suffolk College, Ipswich 1979-1981 and gained a Diploma in Art & Design and at Surrey Institute of Art & Design a Diploma in Graphics and Illustration. A paste-up artist for Peter Dodd Design Ipswich 1982-1987 and she married at Ipswich in 1986, Michael Rees. They moved to Cornwall the following year taking a HND in Ceramics at Falmouth College of Art 1987-1989 and since 1991 Tracy has been a part-time Ceramic Technician at Penwith College and in 2003 began her painting career. Tracy has exhibited at Badcocks Gallery, Newlyn; New Craftsman Gallery, St Ives; Avalon Arts, Marazion, Cornwall; The Lighthouse Gallery, Penzance; Cambridge Contemporary Art; Jonathan Cooper, London and elsewhere. Tracy lives and works in Cornwall.
