LEESE, Leonard
Leonard Leese was born at Corwen, Merionethshire, Wales in 1932, fifth child and eldest son of Leonard Leese (3 May 1900-1984), a grocery branch inspector, and his wife Elizabeth née Porter (26 September 1898-1990), who married at Wolstanton, Staffordshire in 1922 and in 1939 were living at 48 Mapperley Road, Nottingham. Leonard married at Nottingham in 1956, Bessie Hulbert (born 9 July 1932) and the following year they moved to Suffolk. They had two children a son Kit Leese and a daughter Bridget. Leonard exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from 6 Valley Close, Brantham, Suffolk in 1977 two items, 'Dunwich Beach' and 'Ferry Inn, Walberswick' and a further picture the following year. Leonard and his wife were still living at Brantham in 2005. Leonard Leese died on 14 June 2020.
