COOKE, Jean
As Jean May Holliday, she was born in the Samford district of Suffolk on 24 October 1932, daughter of David James Holliday (24 December 1908-1973) and his wife Annie Eva née Wyartt (15 June 1908-8 April 1976), who married at Samford in 1929 and in 1939 were living at 11 Boyton Road, Ipswich. Jean married at Ipswich in 1954, Clive William Cooke (4 December 1930-2003) and painted under the name of Jean Cooke. Jean exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from 59 Dale Hall Lane, Ipswich in 1979 'Till Spring Comes' and two pictures from 'Lowood', Playford Road, Little Bealings, Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1980, 'The Garden' and 'The Forest Floor'.
