Peter Beeson

Peter M. Beeson, was born in the Samford district of Suffolk in 1960, son of John F. W. Beeson (1927-) and his wife Sylvia R. née Townes. Peter studied wildlife illustration in South Wales for four years, covering many aspects of art and on leaving college he worked for a decade in various schools for children with special educational needs. He married at Ipswich in 1984, Louise J. Wrench and has been a househusband to his three children since 1995, during which time he has continued to pursue his art. An artist and printmaker and a member of the Ipswich Art Society and exhibited from Tintagel, High Lands Road, Hadleigh, Suffolk in 1980, two paintings 'Kersey Mill' and 'Curlew', in 1997 from 27 Norman Close, Felixstowe, three items 'Grey Plover', 'Drake Smew' and 'Roe Deer' and the following year three etchings 'Felixstowe Ferry', 'Swifts' and 'Iken'. Over the years has completed several commissions and has also exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London; A touring wildlife exhibition in Hampshire and locally at Butley Galleries in 1997 and the Chambers Gallery Ipswich 1999, also at the local Suffolk Show and charity art exhibitions and regularly shows work with the Sudbourne Park Printmakers Group, of which he is a member. On two occasions he has won awards for his work, which led to work being published, and then exhibited in the Mall Galleries London. For many years local wildlife groups have used his black and white line drawings in their various publications.
