ALLAN, Jane
As Jane Philippa Mary Hardstaff, she was born at Nottingham on 20 March 1934, daughter of Philip Leverton Hardstaff (5 February 1904-3 October 2000) and his wife Phyllis Mary née Hole (1905-19 June 1968), who married at St Peter's Church, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire on 20 June 1931. Jane married at Scarborough in 1958, Thomas Duncan Allan (18 February 1922-6 February 1992) and painted under the name of Jane Allan. A member of the Ipswich Art Club and exhibited from 22 Mill View Close, Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1990, two pictures 'John Piper Window, Aldeburgh Church' and 'Rose and Whisky Mac'. Jane Philippa Mary Allan died at Scarborough on 9 May 2020.
