FRASER, Robert James Winchester

1872 - 1930

Born at Harowden, Bedfordshire in 1872, son of Robert Winchester Fraser (1848-1906)[q.v.]. As an artist signed himself ‘Robert Winter’. In 1881 a 9 year old living at at 47 Ellington Street, Islington, London and in 1891 a 20 year old landscape painter living with his grandparents at River View, High Street, Hemingford Grey, St Ives, Huntingdonshire. He married in 1896, Seeta Hargreave Deane (born 1868) and they went to live at Worlington, Mildenhall, Suffolk and in 1901, a 29 year old landscape artist living at Grove House, Worlington with his 29 year old wife Seeta, born Greentown, Ireland and their one year old son Robert, born Mildenhall. By 1905 they had moved to Holywell, Needingworth, St Ives, Huntingdonshire with their three children Robert Deane, Frances and Seeta Margaret. He died at St Ives in 1930, aged 60.
