Moira Scottt

As Moyra Chestnutt, daughter of Judith Harrison [Chestnutt q.v.], she studied at the University of Sussex, gaining a BA degree. She married in the Deben district of Suffolk in 2005, Ian Scott and paints under the name of Moyra Scott. She is inspired by Matisse's later works and is an observational artist showing people absorbed in their lives, in cafes, reading, travelling, waiting using fluid movements and marking the paper as little as possible, her observational line drawings capture the essence of her subjects. She was part of the Chestnutt Studio at Great Bealings, Woodbridge in Suffolk but now lives in Brighton.
