Patricia Lamont

As Priscilla Clive she was born at Eton, Buckinghamshire in 1948, daughter of Norman Clive and his wife Ione Margery née Clark (1920-1984), who married at Marylebone, London on 1947 but spending her childhood in Berkshire. She married in 1975, Andrew J. Lamont and paints under the name of Priscilla Lamont. After graduating from Canterbury College of Art in 1971, with a degree in Graphic design, and spending a few years as a book designer, Priscilla began to work as a freelance artist, and has illustrated over forty children's books for a variety of authors, including Harry Secombe, Adrian Mitchell, Julia Jarman, Michael Rosen and Hilary McKay. After living in London spent many years at 152 High Street, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, where she also painted portraits on commission, Priscilla is now settled in Canterbury, Kent with her new husband, artist David W. Hayward and had a studio at the Creek Creative building in Faversham.
