Mendeep Birdy

Born in Birmingham in 1982, daughter of Kapur C. Birdy and his wife Jurjit K. née Bodhan, who married at Nottingham in 1975. Raised in the Suffolk seaside resort of Felixstowe and is an art teacher, community project worker and artist. Mandeep's recent artwork includes imagery inspired by the iconic sculptures of India and full of subjects such as truth, strength, compassion, benevolence, wisdom, competence, power and courage. Her work is often mixed media, rich in texture and depth and she endeavors to continuously evolve her ability and figurative style. Mandeep has founded an innovative educational system for young artists with regular workshops and private tuition, when children gain the experience of being productive and better skilled with their creativity. She has her studio at 11a Sunray Avenue, Felixstowe and has exhibited at The Garden Gallery, Felixstowe; Studio Bushfire, 163 Hamilton Road, Felixstowe and at Cafe Bencotto, 128 Hamilton Road, Felixstowe.
