Born at Singleton Scarp, Hendon, London in 1936, daughter of Raymond Gleeson (1 January 1905-1967), a bank clerk, and his wife Winifred Joyce, née Mercer (17 February 1903-2001), who married at Edmonton in 1932. Oonagh studied at Endleigh College, Hull and paints portraits in oils, mainly animals, sometimes children. She uses fine brushes to achieve a detailed finish and works mainly on commission and has received commissions from as far away as Hong Kong but has exhibited both locally and around the world. Her studio is at 24 Alexander Drive, Needham Market, Ipswich and donated a work to the 'Westhall Secret Postcard Auction' in 2013 a watercolour 'What's my Name?' and in 2014 'Trio'.
