For many years, a freelance interior and graphic designer, enjoying selecting colours and materials for shops, exhibitions, offices, and hotel refurbishments when living at Manor Gardens, London. Now a full-time artist, painting in bold pastels sometimes mixed with acrylics, her paintings being inspired by light on flowers, in gardens and landscapes, and her life drawings are also about light, bouncing wonderful colour reflections onto the skin, constantly experimenting with her favourite medium, soft pastels, sometimes mixing vibrant pastel with watercolour, acrylics and metallic, creating stunning effects of bold colour and texture. A Member of the Society of Botanical Artists, her flower pictures have been reproduced by publishers on cards and prints and are sold worldwide and images from her one woman show in New York have been reproduced by Amcal in California for their range of greetings cards with another American company, Modernart, reproducing many flower images as large prints. Maureen's other passion is life drawing, and exploring light effects, reflections, and movement of the figure. Her work is shown in various mixed and shared exhibitions in London and in the provinces and for many years has shared a two-man show at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London and exhibited in a mixed show in Nantucket, USA and had a solo show at Jensen Fine Arts, New York and has also exhibited at the Royal Academy.
