Annette Ashton

Since childhood Annette Ashton has enjoyed and pursued her passion for art, inspired by the natural world and the beauty and harmony of colours found in nature. Annette works mainly in pastel but also uses acrylic, egg tempera and gold leaf in her paintings to create different effects and textures. Her work is inspired by the natural world and the colours found in nature and she enjoys capturing the essence of landscapes and wildlife as well as people and animal portraiture, sharing her unique perception with vibrancy of colour and form continuing to follow her own artistic interests working mainly from her base in Sudbury, Suffolk. She has exhibited her work in galleries and undertook a solo exhibition in the Channel Islands and has completed work to commission. Her paintings are held in private collections in the UK, Europe and Australasia. She operates with Suffolk Open Studios from Clare Park Visitor Centre, Malting Lane, Clare, Suffolk.
