HALLETT, Nicolette

Born at Bergkirchen, Germany 1946-50. Nicolette went from painting at art school to photography college, and a 30-year career in commercial photography Working for the National Trust, English Heritage, architects, leaflet and record photography, Boosey & Hawkes, Landmark Trust etc. Painter in oil exploring ways to paint landscape which she often photographs, sometimes her photographs may re-emerge in a painting. Nicolette prefers observational photography, and has photographed everything from stone masons to stately homes. A member of Suffolk Open Studios from Clay Barn, Thrandeston Road, Mellis, Eye, Suffolk. She has an 'off the peg' shed, which is her painting studio in summer and was the photographer for the Gill Heriz book ‘A Woman’s Shed’ and she also a member of Mellis Arts.
