HART, Irene

As Irene A. Faithful, she was born at Dartford, Kent in 1945, daughter of Alfred Charles Faithful (12 July 1904-5 January 1980) and his wife Rose Phoebe née Fogden (8 June 1905-1973), who married at Brentford, London in 1925. As Irene Dossett, she married in 1987, Anthony F. Hart (born 1943) and paints under the name of Irene Hart. A self-taught artist, with a preferred medium in watercolour, although she uses other mediums such as oils & pastels. Having lived in Suffolk most of her life, Irene has grown to love the unique landscape and architecture of East Anglia, painting a variety of subjects including local scenes and the beautiful heritage coast and specialises in commissions for house portraits. A member of Lavenham Art Society and has exhibited at many exhibitions and galleries throughout East Anglia and at the 'Visions of Sudbury' show at St Peter's church, Sudbury in 2007 had on show 'Market Hill, Sudbury'. Irene has a small gallery at her home at Chapelfields, Lower Farm Road, Stowmarket, Stowmarket open by arrangement.
