Vrinda Dawn Heather Mandala Read-James was born at Cardiff, Wales in November 1974 and has since lived in China and France. Vrinda graduated from Christchurch College, Canterbury in 1997, with a first class B.A. (hons) in Fine Art & English, receiving the graduate painting prize and is also a trained teacher of art. Vrinda has travelled through much of Europe, Southeast Asia, and India and the experience of these places forms the inspiration for her painting. Landscapes of all kinds are often a stimulus in Vrinda’s work where she explores shape and colour to capture the essence of the scenery. Now based in Suffolk she works in oil on canvas or watercolour and is a member of the Suffolk Open Studios from 23 Bristol Road, Ipswich. A member and exhibitor at the Ipswich Art Society and has also exhibited locally including at the D’Arcy Gallery and Graham & Oldham Artists’ Gallery in Ipswich; the North House Gallery in Manningtree; Marlowe Centre, Canterbury, Kent; Greenwich Village Gallery, London; Artique, Watford; Air Gallery, Dover Street, London and elsewhere.
