Sue Whatling

Born in the Blyth district of Suffolk in 1970, daughter of David George Whatling (1937-1998) and his wife Josephine A. née King, who married in Blyth in 1965. Susan, having a strong interest in architecture and design, completed her BA (hons) degree in 1993. With her early passion for drawing, she initially produced commissioned architectural ink drawings for local clients and, after gaining further drawing experience while working for an architect, in 1998 Susan qualified from Cambridge University to teach Art and Design. Living at Barhams Way, Woodbridge, Suffolk, she continues producing portraits and paintings also teaching part-time in primary schools. She has exhibited locally through the years, displaying both animal portraits and in recent years, landscape paintings. Her commissioned work has a place in private homes across the UK and USA including graphic design and photographic work.
