WITTS, Meg
Megan Frances Witts was born at Tunbridge Wells, Kent in 1988, daughter of Geoffrey Ernest Witts, art gallery owner, and his wife Catriona née Millar, who married at Ipswich in 1979. Meg was educated at Thomas Mills School in Framlingham, Suffolk and graduated from Norwich School of Art in 2009 with a B.A. (hons) in Fine Art. Her work has already achieved a good following with her ability with figurative detail, combined with a brave abstract style, making her pieces both readable and full of impact. As well as producing her art, in 2011 Meg graduated at The Motley in Covent Garden, the exclusive theatre design school which has fed the theatre and film industries with creatives over the past forty-five years. She has had held several positions in the theatre and film industry including Maddermarket Theatre, Norwich; Channel 4 Art Department Assistant; Southwark 'Splash' at the Royal Festival Hall; Vertigo Films and Big Talk Productions but has also had a painting commission at Frinton Summer Theatre in Essex.
