Geoffrey F. K. Bennett was born in the Lothingland district of Suffolk in 1945, his mother's maiden name was Marshall. He married in Lothingland in 1967, Dorothy Barker and they lived at Lowestoft, Suffolk. His painting of the 'Fish Market' is in the collection of Lowestoft and East Suffolk Maritime Museum.
