Born in the Samford district of Suffolk on 26 July 1926, son of Henry Charles Parker (25 October 1889-1943), horseman on a farm, and his wife Mabel M. Double (30 May 1889-1961), who married at Bosmere, Suffolk in 1914 and in 1939 they were living at 8 Broomfield Common, Sproughton, Ipswich with children Stanley (born 19 February 1917), Leslie (born 11 February 1920), Percy (born 7 January 1922) and Geoffrey. Geoffrey married at Ipswich in 1953, Dorothy May Jones (1927-1994). An amateur artist mostly of aircraft and the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton, Bungay, Suffolk has some of his paintings. He died at Ipswich in 1990.
