LACY-SCOTT, Marian [Dan] E. M.

As Marian Wise, she was born at Eastbourne, Sussex in 1925, daughter of Francis St George Wise (1874-1952) and his wife Bessie L. née Mullinger, who married at Thanet, Kent in 1921. She married at Ashford, Kent in 1943, John Lacy Scott (1917-1994), a chartered surveyor of Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk. A Suffolk amateur artist, who only took up painting following the death of her husband about 1994. Marian Lacy Scott, was better known as Dan, claimed top spot in a national competition in 2003 for her picture 'Gone Bananas' of a plantation in the Canary Islands, where her daughter Georgina lived. She collected her prize at the House of Lords. She lives in College Street, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
