As Sarah June Elizabeth Alaia, she was born at Romford, Essex in 1961, daughter of Anthony Raffello Alaia (16 July 1929-2001) and his wife June G. née Dale, who married at Romford in 1953. Sarah married at Havering, Essex in 1983, Felix John Benedict Bourne, a solicitor, and paints under the name of Sarah Bourne. Sarah Bourne is a member of the Suffolk Art Society and of the Law Society Art Group and exhibited at the Law Society, Chancery Lane, London in their annual exhibitions and has also shown at the Brett Gallery, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk. Sarah exhibited from 53 Church Street, Sudbury, Suffolk at the 'Visions of Sudbury' show at St Peter's church, Sudbury in 2013, an oil pastel 'Late Summer on the Water Meadows'.
