Chris Baylie

Born at Grantham, Lincolnshire in 1943, son of Albert A. Baylie and his wife Mary E. née Skelton, who married at Sleaford, Lincolnshire in n 1942. Chris has been interested in art since an early age and, with the help and tuition of Lou Rogerson, obtained various formal qualifications in art. From these early beginnings his art has developed through traditional mediums from pencil sketches, pen and ink, water colours and finally up to present day oils. He concentrates on seascapes and landscapes and the occasional portrait. A qualified seed ananlyst who on his retirement spends his time in his studio painting in oils. He married at Bury St. Edmund's in 1982, Susan M. Perry. As Chris Baylie an exhibitor at the Suffolk Art Society from 40 Plovers Way, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and exhibits regularly in East Anglia.
