LEVERETT, Henry Frederick

1819 - 1864

Born at St Matthew's parish, Ipswich on 18 December 1819 and baptised on 18 December 1822, son of Henry Leverett (1789-1856), land & house proprietor, and his wife Mary Ann née Gislingham (1790-1870), who married at St Clements church, Ipswich on 24 November 1812. He married at Ipswich in 1842, Elizabeth Lambert. In 1851, a 31 year old house proprietor living at St Matthews Street, Ipswich with his 33 year old wife Elizabeth and their three children, Anne Elizabeth 6, Henry Alfred 4 and Caleb Rickman 3. He exhibited at the Suffolk Fine Arts Association in August 1850 a painting 'Landscape'. By 1861 he was living at 38 Berners Street, Ipswich with the addition of six more children, Mary 8, Sarah 6, Louisa 5, Charles 4, Arthur 2 and Grace 1. He was buried in Ipswich cemetery on 15 October 1864, aged 44.
