1946 - 2015

Born in Scotland and was a former bus driver and later a long distance lorry driver, He lived at Copperfield Gardens, Brentwood from 1966 and from where he was elected a Lib Dem councillor in 1980. He married in 1968 and after Mr Bonner retirement due to ill-health, and together with his wife Ann, moved to Beccles in Suffolk in 2004. Whilst his working hours prevented me from pursuing my art, when illness forced him into early retirement he took the opportunity to take up art, initially purely as a hobby but led to his work being published and sold locally. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists and one of his proudest achievement was to have one of his pictures featured on the Parkinson UK fundraising calendar for the month of May 2014. He died in April 2015, aged 70.
