PEASE, Oliver Richard

1920 - 1978

Born at Bramley, Yorkshire on 19 November 1920, youngest child of Henry Pease (4 September 1877-1956), butcher, and his wife Hannah Jane née Myatt (7 September 1878-1967), who married at Leeds in 1904. In 1939 an apprentice draughtsman living at Oakham Villa, 27 Wilford Road, Leeds, Yorkshire with his parents and siblings, Eleanor H. (born 27 October 1906), Margaret A. (born 28 October 1909) and Miriam A. Stockwell, née Pease (born 29 January 1916). During the Second World War a lance corporal in the army and taken prisoner by the Japanese in 1942 and interned in Thailand being released on 12 September 1945. He married at Wharfedale, Yorkshire in 1947, Geraldine M. Farrar (born 1921) and their son Simon was born in Leeds in 1949. They moved to Lowestoft, Suffolk and he died in the Waveney district of Suffolk in 1978. His wife continued to live at Lowestoft and she died on 14 October 2013, aged 92.
