BREWER, John
John Brewer was born on 29 August 1909, son of Australian racehorse trainer John Edward Brewer, and his wife Edith née Nightingall, daughter of John Nightingall, a horse trainer groom, of South Hatch, Down Hall Road, Epsom, who married at Epsom, Surrey on 16 June 1900 and by 1911 they had returned to Australia. After his father had again returned from Australia, John sen. set up as a trainer at Park Lodge, Newmarket, Suffolk. Young John Brewer exhibited at Birmingham Royal Society of Artists in 1938, from Warren Hill, Newmarket, Suffolk. In 1939, young John was an unmarried watercolour artist, living at Warren Hill Cottages, Mildenhall, Newmarket, Suffolk, other members of the household were widow Monica Bullough (1869-1967), stud manager, and four servants. John Brewer died at Amounderness, Preston, Lancashire on 26 December 1968 (this death maybe another John Brewer)
