Laura Beardsell-Moore

Born at Thurrock, Essex in November 1978, daughter of Stephen C. Beardsell and his wife Margaret V. née Spear, who married at Thurrock in 1972. Laura grew up in the small village of Elmsett, near Hadleigh, in Suffolk. She studied Art and History of Art at the Winchester School of Art, gaining a BA (hons), History of Art and Art in 2001, followed by a Masters degree in Contemporary Art, Criticism and Philosophy at the University of Essex in 2004. Laura has worked as an art teacher for GCSE and A level students, a lecturer for BA (hons) Fine Art students and, until a few years ago, was a member of the Association of Art Historians. Her work is influenced by the natural world, often exploring environmental themes. She has exhibited at the Ipswich Art Society, The Frame Workshop and Gallery, Ipswich, The Freudian Sheep Gallery, Suffolk, The 1912 Centre, Harwich, Essex, Ipswich Interpretations, Kerseys Solicitors, Suffolk and elsewhere with a solo exhibition at Woodbridge Library, Suffolk in 2016.
