As Janet Abbey, she married at Sudbury, Suffolk in 1983, Ivan W. Carter (born 1948) and paints under the name of Janet Carter. Janet exhibited from 1 The Street, Little Waldingfield, Sudbury, Suffolk at the 'Visions of Sudbury' show at St Peter's church, Sudbury in 2007, a watercolour 'Brundon'.
