JAMES, Audrey

As Audrey Miranda Dando, she was born at Bristol in 1929, daughter of William Leslie Dando (4 February 1903-7 January 1964), a solicitor's clerk, and his wife Laura née Pullin (3 September 1901-1989), who married at Bristol in 1924 and in 1939 were living at 36 New Wells Road, Bristol. Audrey married at Wells, Somerset in 1950, Raymond L. James and paints under the name of Audrey James. She exhibited at the 'Visions of Sudbury' show at St Peter's church, Sudbury, from 30 Kings Hill, Great Cornard, Sudbury, Suffolk in 2007, a lithograph 'Off Stour Street' and a screenprint 'The House on Acton Square'. Audrey also exhibited a lithograph 'Mid-Winter' at the Stour Valley Arts Exhibition in 2012 and has illustrated 'Le Tombeau de Porter’ by Alan Brownjohn.
