JERMYN, Florence Emma
Florence Emma Jermyn was born at Silfield Road, Wymondham, Norfolk on 12 September 1890, daughter of Henry William Jermyn (1859-28 October 1929), a miller & farmer, and his wife Emma Elizabeth née Smith (1858-27 September 1935), who married at the Baptist Chapel, Carleton Rode, Norfolk on 25 November 1884. In 1891, a newly born, living at Silfield Road, Wymondham, with her parents, 34-year-old Henry and 35-year-old Emma with three sibling brothers, Bertrand Vincent 5, Percy Robert 4 and Sidney William 2, all born in Wymondham and in 1911 Emma and her parents were at the same address. During the First World War, Florence served in Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps. In 1921 Florence, with her business partner Florence Holmes ran a teashop at 2 Hamilton Road, Cromer, Norfolk. Her father died at 509 Norwich Road, Ipswich in 1929 and her mother in 1935, and in 1939 Elzabeth was a teashop proprietor at the Black Tiles Café, Ipswich Road, Kesgrave, near Ipswich. Florence exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1942, a plaster plaque sculpture. Florence Emma Jermyn died at 'Silfield', The Street, Capel St Mary, Ipswich on 5 July 1975, she was unmarried.
