ADAMS, George Arthur
George Arthur Adams was born at Basingstoke, Hampshire on 22 November 1896, son of George Alfred Adams, a blacksmith, and his wife Rosa née Goddard, who married at Leiston, Suffolk in 1895. In 1901, young George was a 4-year-old, living at 30 Coventry Road, Bedford with his parents, 30-year-old George, who was born at Wilby, Suffolk, and 30-year-old Rosa, who was born at Leiston, Suffolk and his sibling sister Dorothy 1, who was born at Bedford. George married at Bedford in 1924, Nellie Webster (22 April 1897-1968) and in 1939 a 'slotting machinist' living at 17 Valley Terrace, Leiston-cum-Sizewell, Suffolk with his wife Nellie. He exhibited at the Ipswich Art Society in 1943, two works 'A Suffolk Cottage' and 'Allotments, Leiston'. George Arthur Adams died at 17 Valley Terrace, Leiston on 29 July 1973.
