McMAHON, Ethel Clara

1863 - 1940

Ethel Clara McMahon was born at Bengal Province on 31 July and baptised at Rangoon on 9 September 1863, eldest daughter of Alexander Ruxton McMahon and his second wife Jemima Fanny née Carthew (24 December 1842-1914), who married at Rangoon, Burma on 13 May 1862. As Miss McMahon of Crowe Hall, Stutton, Ipswich, she exhibited at Ipswich Fine Art Club in 1883 an oil 'Italian Spring Flowers'. Ethel married Antonio Magri and was living at Cremona, Lombardy, Italy when their daughter was born. In 1929 she was living at 12 Calthorpe Street, Grays Inn Road, London. Ethel Clara Magri died on 6 August 1940.
