Vivien N. Grant was born at Caterham, Surrey in 1939, daughter of Gerald Onslow Gordon Grant (14 December 1903-28 July 1966), a surveyor's clerk, and his wife Freda née Davey (13 April 1905-1985), who married at Risbridge, Suffolk in 1932 and in 1939 were living at 10 Court Road, Caterham, Surrey. As Vivien Grant, she married at Redhill, Surrey in 1963, David John Lishman, and are the parents of Marian Lishman. Vivien Grant has been painting for several years in her favourite medium of pastels but has expanded into both watercolour and oils. She paints floral and wildlife subjects and beach scenes. As Vivien Grant, she has exhibited regularly at Art on the Prom at Felixstowe since 2011, usually with daughter Marian Lishman and exhibits from their gallery on Bent Hill, Felixstowe and from her studio at 18 Barnfield, Capel St Mary, Ipswich.
